It’s that time of the month again- time to announce who the winner of our cow of the month is. With it being a miserably grim November it’s a good job that our girls are tucked up inside the relative warmth of their barn and the upcoming festive season has started to lift their spirits. Some of the them have already started practising their favourite Christmas tunes: with classics such as Mooriah Carey’s ‘All I want for Christmas is Moo’ a firm favourite, other numbers which they like to tap their hooves to include ‘Fairytail of Moo York’, ‘Ding Dong Moorily on High’ and ‘Jingle Bell Rock’!
The festive spirit hasn’t affected milk production and it was Meadowsweet who took home the prize for November, having produced 1214 litres of milk. An impressive effort from the beautifully named Meadowsweet and the pressure is on for her to build on her success and be in with a chance of winning the eagerly anticipated ‘Cow of the Year’ which will be announced at the beginning of 2016.
