Introducing Brymor Meadows: Your Guide to Summer 2026
This summer, there’s more to Brymor than ice cream (although, let’s be honest, the ice cream is still the main event). Opposite the parlour, the fields we’re now calling Brymor Meadows, we’ve opened three new experiences: a wild flower field, a maize maze, and the chance to meet the award-winning sheep.
All three run from 17th July to 6th September. Here’s what each one involves.
Pick Your Own Wild Flowers
Our Flower Field is open and growing well. Wander into the meadow and pick your own bouquet for £6, paid at the kiosk on entry to the field.
Because it’s a real, living meadow rather than a shop display, what’s in bloom shifts from week to week. Some weeks you’ll find more of one flower than another, and that’s just nature doing its thing. Right now there’s a lovely display out there, and it’s well worth a visit.
Get Lost in the Maize Maze
The Maize Maze is back for another summer. Entry is £3 per person, or £10 for a family of 4.
You’ll pay at the same kiosk as the Flower Field and be given a wristband. If you fancy a break partway through, whether that’s for ice cream, lunch, or just a sit down in the parlour, show your wristband on the way back and carry on where you left off.
Meet The Award Winning Valais Blacknose Sheep
This is the one that photographs beautifully, and for good reason. These Valais Blacknose sheep have picked up their fair share of rosettes, and this summer you can spend 40 minutes with a small flock of around four, including lambs.
Sessions run at 11:00 and 12:30 on select dates between 18th July and 6th September, at £10 per person. Groups are a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6, so if you’re booking as a smaller group, you may be joined by other visitors to make up the session. Under 5s aren’t able to take part. You’ll get to feed them ginger biscuits, have plenty of cuddles, and use our props for photos or Instagram reels, all while learning about the breed and asking as many questions as you like.
The sheep sessions are booked separately from the Flower Field and Maize Maze, and only run on select dates within the window above, so it’s worth checking availability before you plan around it. Call or email Rachel directly to arrange a time:

Making a Day of It
The Flower Field and Maize Maze share one kiosk, so you can sort both in a single stop. The sheep experience is booked with Rachel ahead of your visit, so it’s worth arranging that in advance if it’s part of your plan.
From there, it’s easy to build a full day out. Add a walk to Jervaulx Abbey, let the kids loose on the climbing frame, or finish with a scoop (or three) choose form 25+flavours back at the parlour.
